Advantages of Abacus
It enhances mental calculation skills by improving speed, accuracy, and numerical confidence while eliminating the fear of mathematics. The program makes learning enjoyable, engaging, and fun for school-going children.
Students develop valuable lifelong skills such as photographic memory, active listening, self-confidence, attentiveness, imagination, and strong academic proficiency, contributing to their overall personal and educational growth.
The training encourages careful observation, logical reasoning, original thinking, and the effective use of multiple skills simultaneously, helping children become more capable and independent learners.
Children learn to use the Abacus, a time-tested mathematical tool, by mastering bead movements, finger techniques, and calculation methods. The program also emphasizes correct posture, hand positioning, finger movements, pen holding, eye coordination, and proper placement of the Abacus to ensure effective learning.
Through systematic training, students gain proficiency in fundamental arithmetic operations, including Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, and Division, enabling them to solve mathematical problems accurately, confidently, and efficiently. To know more click here
Educational Goals & students Development Benefits
Our GoalsDifferent areas of a child’s brain develop and mature at different stages of growth. During these critical years, the right guidance and stimulation can significantly enhance a child’s intellectual, emotional, and creative potential. By providing children with the right learning environment and opportunities, we help them unlock their true capabilities and achieve excellence in all aspects of life. Our goal is to nurture and develop:• Strong intelligence and whole-brain development
• Exceptional mental calculation abilities with speed and accuracy
• Deep concentration and focus
• Long-term memory retention and recall skills
• Logical and analytical thinking abilities
• Sharp observation and problem-solving skills
• Effective listening and comprehension skills
• Enhanced memory recall capacity
• Self-confidence and a positive personality
• The ability to face challenges with confidence and determination
• Overall academic, personal, and social developmentWe strive to empower every child with the skills, confidence, and mindset needed to succeed in school and in life.
Brain Functions information
- The human brain is divided into two hemispheres: the left hemisphere and the right hemisphere. The left brain is mainly associated with logical thinking, analysis, and reasoning, while the right brain plays a vital role in creativity, imagination, memory, and overall intelligence development.
- Most people tend to rely more on their left brain in daily activities. Through the ICMAS program, children are systematically trained to activate and utilize both hemispheres of the brain, especially the right brain. This balanced brain development helps enhance concentration, memory, creativity, learning ability, and overall performance in academics and everyday life.
Left Brain and Right Brain Development
Traditional teaching methods generally encourage linear, sequential, and verbal learning, which primarily engages the left hemisphere of the brain. While this approach helps develop analytical and logical thinking, it can sometimes limit a child’s ability to visualize concepts, think creatively, and make broader connections between ideas.
When learning techniques that stimulate the right hemisphere are incorporated, children can enhance their creativity, imagination, concentration, memory, and overall learning potential. The ICMAS Abacus Program is designed to activate and develop both sides of the brain, promoting balanced whole-brain development and maximizing a child’s intellectual capabilities.
Brain development through Abacus training is recognized and practiced worldwide. Millions of children in countries such as China, Japan, Malaysia, Taiwan, Singapore, Indonesia, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States have benefited from this proven method of learning and cognitive development.
